This stunning antique 15ct Gold Emerald and Garnet ring is Georgian, Circa 1800.
The ring boasts two green Emeralds, two flat top Garnets and a trilogy of Pearls in the centre.
The Garnet has been adored throughout history for it’s blazing red colour which hides beneath it’s dark surface. It is said to be a stone of purity, truth and a symbol of love and compassion.
The Emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus, It was thought to preserve love and has long been the symbol of hope.
The stones are set in a beautiful, engraved 15ct Yellow Gold Georgian gallery which is complete with hallmarks on the inside of the shank.
The ring has had slight solder work under the gallery but this is minimal work for such an old ring.
The ring is steeped in Georgian history and looks lovely when worn!
