A macabre Memento Mori style ring depicting a coiled snake with garnet eyes wrapping around skull and crossbones set with two twinkling old mine cut diamond eyes.

A circular serpent coiled around a skull represents the cycle of life, death and rebirth that is infinite and all encompassing. Such macabre imagery was common in Memento Mori jewellery, which literally translates as “Remember you will die”. These themes were not a celebration of death, rather a reminder to live your life well and cherish each waking day.

The piece is 15ct gold with scaled detailing etched around the entire band. It’s very striking and looks wonderful wrapped around the finger.
